Kings Bump Edge, 3-1
The Kings came out fast and their aggressiveness paid off as they downed the West Michigan Edge, 3-1, on Friday night at the Town & Country Soccer Stadium in PDL action. Branden Stelmak led the way for Cincinnati with a five-point performance highlighted by two goals.

The scoring got underway in the 26th minute when the Kings' Tony Ray sent a nice wide ball to Jake Vollmer who in turn sent a high cross towards the near post. That's where Stelmak started his scoring on the night heading it past the West Michigan keeper for an early 1-0 lead. With the Edge back on their heels, the Kings struck again just one minute later. And again, it was Stelmak with the score. It started with Vollmer this time sneaking a through ball to Jimmy Cummings. Stelmak again headed for the near post and Cummings found him with a cross on the ground that Stelmak tucked away for the two-goal lead.

The Kings would take that 2-0 lead to halftime. The first half stats bear out the Kings' aggressiveness as they out-shot their guests, 13-2, in the first half.

In the 56th minute, the Kings scored their third and final goal of the evening. A series of good passes led the ball to Stelmak's feet once again, but instead of finishing it this time, he found Dustin Downey at the back post and Downey slotted it home. Four minutes later, an errant back pass by the Kings led to West Michigan's lone goal by Dominic Barone.

The win raises the Kings' record to 3-5 with nine points.
